Zelensky dismisses Danylyuk from post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Oleksandr Danyluyk from the post of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) as the order states.

“To dismiss Oleksandr O. Danylyuk from the post of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council,” the order said.

On September 27, it was reported that Oleksandr Danyluyk wrote a letter of resignation. He prepared the proper letter addressed to the president before the beginning of the working visit of Volodymyr Zelensky to the U.S. for participation in 74th UN General Assembly. The Office of the President noted that Zelensky will consider the letter after return to Kyiv from America.

In May 2019, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Oleksandr Danylyuk as the NSDC Secretary.

Serhiy Knyazev decided to resign from the post of the head of the National Police of Ukraine and submitted the resignation letter on September 24

Later the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the resignation of Serhiy Knyazev from the position of the head of the National Police of Ukraine. Police General of the third rank Ihor Klymenko, who previously was a Deputy Head of the National Police, became the new head of the National Police of Ukraine
