"President Biden looks forward to welcoming President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine to the White House on August 30, 2021," the statement reads.
According to Psaki, the visit will affirm "the United States’ unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity".
She also added that the presidents of Ukraine and the United States will discuss close cooperation on energy security, and Kyiv's efforts efforts to tackle corruption and implement a reform agenda "based on our shared democratic values".
As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met President of the Council of Europe Charles Michel during the working visit to Georgia. The leaders discussed the preparation for the Ukraine – EU summit planned for October 2021.
Zelensky thanked Michel for support in holding the first meeting at the EU + Associated Trio meeting (Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova) format at the highest level and readiness to counteract further approaching of the associated partners with the EU.
