President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to the U.S. will stay in Washington for two days and he will visit California after it as Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S. Oksana Markarova reported on Facebook.
“We together with the team of the Embassy and the President’s Office have entered final straight of the preparation of a very extensive visit of the president to the U.S. In Washington, the president will stay two days – on August 31 and September 1, then – he will visit California,” Markarova wrote.
According to her, in Washington, Zelensky will hold talks with U.S. President Joe Biden at the White House, leaders of the key Ukrainian-American ministries, as well as two important public presentations, will be held with the participation of the First lady for mass media representatives, community and information and analytic centers.
Moreover, Zelensky will partake in the opening of the Ukrainian House and will visit key places for relations of Ukraine and the U.S.
Earlier, it was reported that the U.S. expects the visit of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky to Washington on August 30. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak arrived in the U.S. to prepare for the upcoming visit of Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States.
Later, it was specified that the meeting of the presidents is postponed on August 31. On August 29, the White House stated that the meeting of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and American leader Joe Biden will take place on September 1. The presidents will sign a number of defense partnership agreements.
