President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the opinion that the war in Ukraine will not affect anyone is fateful. He made such a statement during the speech at the 74th UNGA, as 112 Ukraine reported.

“In the modern world, where we live, there is no foreign war anymore. None of you can feel safe when the war takes place in Ukraine when the war takes place in Europe. The thought that it does not affect you and will never affect is a fatal one,” Zelensky said.

He also added that the closing of the eyes to the details and silence became the reason of two World wars.

“It is impossible to think about global things and close the eyes to the details or as someone thinks to the little things. Because exactly in such a way the basis for two world wars was provided and the dozens of millions of people lives became the cost of the negligence, silence, inaction, and unwillingness to downhill for the ambitions,” Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian president stated that Ukraine “remembers the harsh lessons of the history and always shows the readiness to provide peace by the civilized way to the world.”

Zelensky is paying the official visit to the U.S. for the participation in the 74th UN General Assembly session. In New York, the Ukrainian leader delivered a speech during the common debates of the UNGA session. He will also participate in the summit on the Sustainable Development Goals.
