President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Indian partners for sending the first 500,000 doses of Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine (CoviShield) against coronavirus, as he reported on Twitter.
“First 500,000 of a vaccine against COVID19 arrived in Ukraine. We are grateful to Indian partners for the support. We will start vaccination ASAP. We need to fight COVID together,” Zelensky wrote.

On February 22, the Health Ministry registered Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine against coronavirus for urgent medical use.
On February 21, the Health Minister reported that in India, the first 500,000 doses of the AstraZeneca-CoviShield vaccine have started their way to Ukraine.
On February 22, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the efficacy level of CoviShield, calling its one of the best vaccines.
