President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suggested unseat members of the parliament because of truancy and non-personal voting. The appropriate draft law No. 1027 is submitted for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada as urgent.

The legislation requires changes to article No. 81 of the Constitution of Ukraine.

According to the text of the bill, the mandate can be terminated prematurely in case of:

- the non-personal voting of MP in the Verkhovna Rada is reported and proved by the court, i.e. the voting of one lawmaker instead of the other or giving an opportunity to vote for one MP by another;

- the absence without an excuse on the third of plenary meetings of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and/or committee meetings, which MP belongs to, during one regular session.

As we reported earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky offered the Verkhovna Rada to reduce the number of the lawmakers from 450 to 300 people
