President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted the draft law on impeachment to the consideration as 112 Ukraine reported citing Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Representative of Zelensky at the parliament.

“President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, as he promised during the election campaign, today passed the draft law of Ukraine on a special procedure of the remove the president from the post, impeachment. The given promise is fulfilled,” he stated.

“Along with this legislative act, the draft law, the appeal of the president sent to the parliament to prevent the Verkhovna Rada from forgetting that it has the bill #7203, which lifts MP immunity. It would be fair if these two bills were approved to provide the president with his own procedure of the dismissal and the Verkhovna Rada will get the level, which was discussed by it, it immunity,” Stefanchuk said.

Earlier, it was reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky will sign the law with the norms on impeachment if the document is of good quality and it will be adopted with the observance of the procedure.
