Ukraine expects to get over 8 million doses of the future vaccine

Ukrainian Health Ministry has already held talks with COVAX mechanism on the supply of vaccines against coronavirus, as President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reports.

“The Health Ministry held a phone talk with COVAX representatives. It is the initiative of the global access of the countries to the vaccine against coronavirus. The phased plan was developed for the supply of the future vaccine to Ukraine. The first stage – 1.2 million doses. Generally, Ukraine expects to get over 8 million doses of the future vaccine,” the president said.

Besides, according to Zelensky, the priority in the vaccination will be provided to the medical workers, military men, teachers, people from the risk groups, particularly, people over 60 years of age.

Earlier, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated that there were enough facilities to provide a cold chain for storage of the coronavirus vaccine.
