On March 22, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone talk with the Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva who stated that the IMF is ready to help Ukraine to fight against consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Today, the session of the government takes place, during which, a few important decisions will be made. The calculation of the repayment holiday program for business is among the tasks for the National Bank of Ukraine, Finance Ministry and Economy Ministry,” the president said.
Zelensky also noted that there will be payment for people who were dismissed due to the lockdown.
Meanwhile, the amendments to the legislation will be adopted. They will introduce criminal responsibility for the illegal export of goods of medical purposes during coronavirus pandemic.
As we reported, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced that four more cases of coronavirus infection had been observed in the capital of Ukraine.
Earlier, the Ukrainian government made a decision to introduce a state of emergency in Donetsk, Ternopil and Cherkasy. Such measures were taken in order to prevent the spread of Covid-2019.
