He emphasized that he was closely following the situation in the Chornobyl zone and was grateful for the courage of the firefighters who were doing everything possible to eliminate the fire element in the Chornobyl zone.
As we reported before, the Chornobyl nuclear power plant and spent fuel storage facilities are not at risk due to large-scale fires in the exclusion zone.
"Firefighting of the State Emergencies Ministry continues to operate. 200 discharges of 460 tons of water were carried out. Over 400 people and 100 pieces of equipment were involved in the exclusion zone, including 310 personnel and 60 pieces of equipment from the State Emergency Situations, including 3 aircraft and 3 helicopters," the message says.
