Zelensky’s team prepared the project on the early dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine after the inauguration of the president, as Strana reported.
The publication got the text of the draft bill, which was sent by the “sources in Zelensky’s surrounding”.
According to the report, the final version of the bill has not been approved yet.
“There are discussions, but the bill exists. Perhaps, it will be further developed,” the source said.
The ground for dissolution is the withdrawal of the All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland" and Union “Self Help” from the coalition, and after less than 226 MPs left in the parliament.
According to the draft bill, Zelensky intends to early dissolve the Verkhovna Rada of the eights legislative term, to appoint early elections on June 14, 2019, to oblige the Cabinet of Ministers to provide funding of the early elections and to oblige the Central Commission of Ukraine to prepare and then hold the elections.
At the same time, the ideologue of Zelensky’s team, Ruslan Stefanchuk, stated live on the 112 Ukraine TV channel that the team of the newly-elected president is preparing various scenarios for the development of events after the inauguration. Among them is the scenario of dissolution of the parliament.
