Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that MP Roman Ivanysov had been expelled from the Servant of the People party and that he was proud of it. Zelensky said this in a video report published on Facebook.
"I mean, the third MP was expelled from the Servant of the People party, and we are proud of it because we continue to clean up... We have recruited people from the people, ordinary people," Zelensky said.
He stressed that if people from the party of power find a criminal past, or they are associated with "opportunists", they will be expelled.
"Because we have a monopoly, the most important thing is not the number of deputies, although it is also very important, the most important thing is that they are decent, honest, professional people," - he said.
As we reported, November 20, Ukraine's Prosecutor General Ruslan Ryaboshapka confirmed the extinguished conviction of Verkhovna Rada MP Roman Ivanisov (Servant of the People party) for raping a minor.
