The President's Office has announced that it will reconsider the concept of the installations on the Alley of Heavenly Hundred Heroes in Kyiv. This decision was made allegedly due to public outrage. Ukrainian Truth reported this with reference to a source in the Office of the President.
The Office of the President explained that the installations, in particular those in the Soviet style, were to be used to shoot an art production for the Independence Day of Ukraine.
However, after the outrage in society, it was decided to reconsider the concept.
"It was planned to shoot an art production with this scenery - a historical tour of different periods of Ukrainian history, from Kyivan Rus to the present day. After that, the scenery had to be dismantled. But now the creative concept will be reconsidered," the interlocutor said.
Earlier today, set designs of Soviet life, such as automatic machines with carbonated water and ice cream appeared in Kyiv on the Alley of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.
Later, the nationalists broke the decorations installed on Alley of Heavenly Hundred Heroes. It was reported that holding mass entertainment events within the memorials of the fallen heroes is prohibited.
It is worth noting that there are portraits of the fallen participants of the Revolution of Dignity on the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, which got covered with decorations.
