President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has started a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who is in Ukraine on a visit. This was reported by the press service of the President's Office.
"It is a great pleasure for me personally and for Ukraine, and it is an honor to receive a delegation of the United States of America, our strategic partner, at such a high level. This is very important, especially for the Ukrainian people, for our independence and sovereignty," Zelensky said.
He also thanked the United States for its support to Ukraine since 2014.
According to the report, after the talks, the President of Ukraine and the US Secretary of State will have a brief conversation with the media.
During the visit, Blinken will also meet with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal and other officials.
Earlier, Blinken met with lawmakers, Foreign Minister Kuleba in Ukraine.
