President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the U.S. Special Representative to Ukraine Kurt Volker in Canada, as President’s Office reported.

“The President stressed that Ukraine fully supported the political-diplomatic way of resolving the conflict in Donbas. This is evidenced by the "re-launch" of the work of Ukrainian representatives in the Trilateral Contact Group, steps towards the intensification of the Normandy format and separation of forces and means in Stanytsia Luhanska,” the message reads.

At the same time, the President noted that Russia did not show goodwill to settle the conflict on the east of Ukraine.

“Russian Federation did not support the "Khlibne" truce suggested by Ukraine, shellings are continued, including of medical vehicles, the work of the OSCE SMM is restricted in the temporarily occupied territory of Donbas,” the establishment informs.

The Head of the State thanked Kurt Volker for everything he and the U.S. Presidential Administration do to support Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is in Canada with a working visit on July 1-3.

Earlier, it was reported that Zelensky met with Canada’s Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, and with Deputy Director of the IMF David Lipton and Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
