The Ukrainian leader stated this during his speech at an extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, which was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
“Another trouble is the fall of industry by 5%, and it continues for the fourth consecutive month in many sectors. Unfortunately, the government has not provided any tools that stimulate domestic production and new production capacities. The industrial glory of Ukraine is gradually becoming memories. We risk that they will soon talk about our industrial potential like this: "It was a long time ago and not true," the President said.
As we reported before, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has started considering the case against Naftogaz-Ukraine on the violation of the Law on Protection of Economic Competition in the form of abuse of monopoly position in natural gas markets.
It was stated that since November 1, 2018, Naftogaz had set natural gas prices at a certain level that would not be possible in the conditions of considerable competition.
