President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky assured that he is not afraid to offend oligarch Ihor Kolomoysky or lose the support of the 1+1 TV channel. He is going to offer to the oligarch to allocate the most of his revenue to the social and infrastructure projects, as The New Yorker reports.
Zelensky noted that he would not provide any privileges to Kolomoysky and he would insist to make the oligarch provide the most of his revenue to the social and infrastructure projects, as Rinat Akhmetov did buying 200 ambulance cars, and Viktor Pinchuk, who provided the released sailors and political prisoners with flats.
The president noted that he said to each of the oligarchs: “Look, buddy, the past is past... But the time has come to give up the majority of your money to social projects and the reconstruction in the Donbas”.
According to the president, he is not afraid to offend Ihor Kolomoysky or lose the support of the 1+1 TV channel. “If the channel turns against me after that – well, then we will understand that he doesn’t want to live in a different way,” Zelensky concluded.
Earlier, Zelensky stated that he agreed with some Ukrainian oligarchs on the support of the humanitarian and social programs. “Ihor Kolomoysky will contribute a great deal of money in the infrastructure of Donbas but he does not know about it yet”.
However, Kolomoysky states that there is no sense to invest in the solution of the conflict in Donbas because it is impossible.
Besides, Kolomoysky said that the war in Donbas was a "civilian conflict", and the Russian troops there "live up to their international duty". He then said that the conflict was not inspired by Russia, despite the fact that there are Russian forces in the occupied territory of eastern Ukraine.
