On June 12, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a meeting with the delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) headed by the President of the Bank Suma Chakrabarti, as the press office of the Head of the State reported.
In particular, Zelensky noted the support of the EBRD in the development of country’s economy. He also thanked the President of the Bank Suma Chakrabarti for EBDR being the largest institutional investor of Ukraine, and assured that the cooperation will be developed.
“Thank you for being here, and thank you for being the largest investor in Ukraine. I would like to assure that we will increase our cooperation,” Zelensky said.
He stressed that the EBRD strategy completely complies with the priorities of our state, and said that Ukraine and bank can work together effectively. Besides, the Head of the State added that Ukraine values the cooperation with the international partners – EBDR, World Bank and IMF.
Earlier, Finance Minister Oksana Makarova discussed the further steps of implementation of the joint projects with EBDR President Suma Chakrabarti.
EBDR reported worsening of GDP growth in Ukraine by 2,5% this year.
