Zelensky gives militants 8 days to prepare for construction of bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska

Otherwise, the bridge will be constructed from the Ukrainian side

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready to begin the restoration of the bridge near Stanytsia Luhanska on an autonomous basis and gave right days to the occupied territories to demolish a part of the old bridge on the territory under ORDLO (Separate Districts of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, - ed.) control, as Zelensky said at Ukraine-EU Summit broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

“We will wait for a week, eight days at most. If we don’t see dismantling from the other side, we will start building the bridge. I think we are ready for that… We promised to people that we will construct it within a month,” Zelensky said.

Ukraine’s side needs two-three days for dismantling.

He noted that disengagement of the forces had to be done, and it was. Therefore, now, the construction of the bridge should begin. Funding is provided by the budget, there are propositions of the Western partners.

As it was reported, on June 5 new agreements on disengagement of the forces in Stanytsia Luhanska and ceasefire in Minsk.
