President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has amended the regulations on the war cabinet of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC). The relevant decree was published on the president's website.
Previously, the war cabinet of the National Security and Defense Council included 12 senior officials, namely: President, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Defense, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Chief General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Chairman of the State Border Guard Service, Commander of the National Guard, Chairman of the Office of the President, and the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada upon consent.
By the decree, Zelensky has introduced seven more people: the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine; Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine; Deputy Chairman of the Office of the President in charge of national security and defense; First Deputy Secretaries of the National Security and Defense Council (two of them).
The decree comes into force from the date of its publication.
As it was reported earlier, the next meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine will take place on Friday, July 16. The introduction of new sanctions will be considered.
