President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky does not keep any direct communications with the representatives of Russia as 1+1 TV Channel reported, citing the National Security and Defense Secretary Oleksandr Danylyuk.

“Volodymyr Zelensky does not hold such communication. We adhere to our position that the negotiation position should be formed first, and later it will be discussed in the Normandy Format,” Danylyuk said.

The NSDC Secretary noted that Zelensky’s team is going to follow this rule in the future.

According to Danylyuk, the mentioned format exists for a few years and a lot of political processes and decisions, particularly imposing of anti-Russian sanctions are tied to it.

Earlier Oleksandr Danylyuk stated that the meeting of Normandy format member countries could take place in mid-July
