Zelensky dismisses Head of Chief Investigation Department of Security Service

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Hryhoriy Ostafiychuk, the Head of Chief Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) as the presidential website reported.

“To dismiss Hryhoriy V. Ostafiychuk from the position of the Head of Chief Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine,” the message said.

Ostafiychuk began his work at the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office in June 2014. In June 2015, he was appointed as Head of the SBU Chief Investigation Department.

As we reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky introduced a submission on the resignation of Pavlo Klimkin from the post of Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Stepan Poltorak from the post of Defence Minister, Vasyl Hrytsak from the post of Head of Security Service.

Besides, Verkhovna Rada rejected draft regulation about the resignation of Ukraine’s PM Volodymyr Groysman. He wrote a letter of resignation, dated May 20. He said he would resign on Wednesday, May 22. Groysman headed Ukraine’s Government since April 14, 2016.
