President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made a decision to replace Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Commander of air assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Commander of the Joint Forces. Respectively, Serhiy Korniychuk, Yevhen Moisyuk, and Volodymyr Kravchenko were dismissed as the President’s Office reported.
Thus, Serhiy Shaptala became the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; while Oleksandr Pavlyuk became the Commander of the Joint Forces.
The Ukrainian leader draws the attention of the commanders of all levels at the Armed Forces, heads in the defense sphere and in the security sphere to the necessity to activate fulfillment of tasks aiming for provision of the modernization of the Ukrainian army and 100% preparation of military men for the protection of Ukraine in the terms of the modern war.
“Currently, the fast-moving transformation of forces and means for warfare takes place in the world. Our military men should be ready for the maximally efficient accomplishment of missions in any terms,” Zelensky noted.
On July 27, Ruslan Khomchak left the office of Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian military.
