Zelensky dismisses 70 heads of district administrations on July 9

The reason is the end of the term of office of the previous president of Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky has fired 70 heads of district administrations in eight regions of Ukraine on July 9. This was reported by the press service of the Presidential Administration.

Zelensky dismissed 10 heads of district state administrations in Vinnytsia region, 8 – in Volyn region, 3 – in Donetsk region, 1 – in Dnipro region, 2 – in Zhytomyr region, 3 – in Zakarpattia region, 10 – in Kirovohrad region and 5 – in Lviv region. The reason is the end of term of office of the former president of Ukraine.

In Kyiv region, the heads of administrations of Sviatoshyn, Solomiansky and Holosiiv districts were dismissed.

As it was reported earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky presented the Head of Donetsk Regional Military-Civilian Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko.

On June 6, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine refused to dismiss Foreign Minister Pavlo KlimkinDefense Minister Stepan Poltorak, and Head of Security Service Vasyl Hrytsak.

Later Zelensky appealed once more to the Verkhovna Rada with the urge to dismiss Klimkin and appoint Prystaiko at the post of the Foreign Minister of Ukraine.
