President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with Iran’s President’s Special Representative Mohammad Eslami the issue of transferring PS 752 black boxes to Ukraine. The press service of the President’s Office reports.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine has the necessary technical capabilities and experienced specialists to properly carry out this work.
"A group of Iranian representatives is expected to familiarize themselves with Ukraine’s technical capabilities for decoding black boxes. The sides agreed that all the remains of the aircraft that survived the crash should be returned to Ukraine," the statement said.
Recall, on the night of January 7-8, in the Iranian capital Tehran, a Boeing 737 passenger plane (Ukrainian International Airlines) crashed. It carried 176 people, nine of whom were crew members. Eleven Ukrainians died, two of them were passengers. Most of the victims were from Iran and Canada.
January 20, Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami would arrive in Kyiv. He was delivering a message from President of Iran Hassan Rouhani to the President of Ukraine on the crash of a UIA plane.
