“Concerning the verdict for Mr. Poroshenko, I am sure in it and I am sure that it is ahead,” Zelensky stated.
He also commented on the publication of talks of Poroshenko with former Vice President of the U.S. and currently the rival of Donald Trump for the presidency, Joe Biden.
“You have already seen yesterday’s scandal. I believe they ruled the stay in such a way; they will face a lot of different events and various sentences,” the president said.
“I do not want to tell because it is not my authorities but the court sentences,” Zelensky added.
On May 19, non-affiliated MP Andriy Derkach published a few audio records of the talk of then ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and Head of the U.S. State Department John Kerry. According to the MP, they may witness the influence of Joe Biden on Petro Poroshenko.
On May 20, the Prosecutor General’s Office put the information about audio records revealed by Andriy Derkach to the United register of pretrial investigation. Poroshenko is accused of the state treason.
