President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the Indian-made Covishield vaccine against Covid-19, the supply of which to Ukraine is being negotiated, "one of the best". Zelensky said this during his speech at the all-Ukrainian forum "Ukraine 30. Infrastructure" on Monday, February 22.
"This is one of the best vaccines to date," Zelensky stated.
When asked when to expect its arrival, Zelensky said: "I don't want to say when it arrives, I want to wait until it arrives. It has been loaded already. It has already left the factory heading in our direction."
As we reported earlier, over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 3,206 new cases of Covid-19, including 216 children and 78 workers.
1,443 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 53 patients deceased, and 1,353 recovered. 20,183 tests have been taken.
Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Ivano-Frankivsk (515), Vinnytsia (328), Zhytomyr (285), Lviv (279) and Chernivtsi (259) regions.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1,307,662 people have contracted the disease, 1,147,426 have overcome it, 25,156 - have succumbed to it.
