Head of the President Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak states that the president of Ukraine and the U.S. are interested in the bilateral meeting as the office reported.

He stated that the meeting of the presidents was discussed during the visit of U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken to Ukraine.

According to Yermak, the presidents of both countries are interested in it.

“There is no particular date of the meeting of Zelensky and Biden yet, however, there are grounds to believe that this meeting will take place soon as there is interest at the high level – from the side of the Ukrainian president and we heard from the U.S. State Secretary about such interest of President Biden,” he said.

Besides, Yermak reminded that 2021 is the special year for Ukraine as the state celebrates the 30th anniversary of independence.

“That is why we have great hope to see President Biden in Ukraine this year,” Yermak added.

On May 5, U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken came with the official visit to Ukraine. However, the official part of the visit started on May 6. Blinken held meeting with lawmakers, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and President Volodymyr Zelensky.

 After talks, Zelensky invited U.S. President Joe Biden to pay an official visit to Ukraine.
