President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed law #1030-IX on enhanced protection of employees and employers during quarantine as the President’s Office reported.
The document offers to provide aid on partial unemployment to all enterprises, including large enterprises, not only during quarantine as a result of the coronavirus but also during other quarantines.
According to the law, the employers should inform the Job center on planned mass dismissal of workers not later than two months before dismissal and not later than 30 calendar days before the dismissal in case the issue is about the public servants. Besides, the grounds are specified for receiving of partial unemployment benefits by enterprises due to the stop production.
Moreover:
- people dismissed from the military service after the participation in the Joint Forces Operation/ATO without determination of disability will get vouchers;
- heads of family farms are allowed to pay a single social security tax for themselves and members of the family farm;
- Fund for Social Protection of Disabled might use funds from the state budget received from payment of sanctions or fees for the provision of compensations to the employers.
As we reported, from December 1, 2020, the maximum amount of unemployment benefits in Ukraine rose, as a result of increasing the subsistence level.
