Zelensky approves commission for selection of Bureau of Economic Security head

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has approved the commission for the selection of the head of the Bureau of Economic Security. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy put into effect the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) decision to determine the members of the competition commission for the position of Director of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine.

The commission has three members:

  • Oleksandr Lytvynenko - Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies;
  • Tymofiy Mylovanov -  former Minister of Economy;
  • Yulia Svyrydenko - Deputy Head of the President's Office.

The decree comes into force on the day of its publication. Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, should supervise its implementation.

As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers established the Bureau of Economic Security. The relevant decision was made during a government meeting on May 12.

“The creation of the Bureau of Economic Security is a new page in the relations between the state and business. This step is one of the final ones on the way to liquidate the tax police. The bureau will put an end to the pressure on business and become a new analytical approach to investigations in the field of financial and economic crimes,” Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal wrote this in his Telegram.
