President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Denys Shmyhal as the Head of Ivano-Frankivsk Region State Administration. The respective announcement was made during Zelensky’s working visit to the region, as 112 Ukraine reported.
In particular, Zelensky called Prykarpattia a beautiful region, yet, he also complained about absence of roads.
“I would like to introduce our new person. A strong manager, I envy Ivano-Frankivsk region… I want to appoint Denys Shmyhal as the Head of Ivano-Frankivsk Region State Administration,” the President stated.
As it was reported, on July 24 Cabinet of Ministers agreed on appointing Shmyhal.
In Junuary, 2018 Shmyhal became a director of Burshtynska TPP which belongs to the holding of Ukrainian oligarch Renat Akhmetov.
Before that, he worked on the post of Head of the Department of Economic Development, Trade and Industry of Lviv Region State Administration. He also was Deputy Head of Department of Ministry of Income and Charges in Lviv region.
