Zelensky appoints new Zhytomyr Governor

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Vitaliy Bunechko as Head of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration as order #587/2019 states.

“To appoint Vitaly I. Bunechko as Chairman of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration,” the document states.

The president dismissed Yaroslav M. Laguta from the duties of the acting head of the administration.

Vitaly Bunechko was born in 1973 in Sarny, Rivne region. He graduated from Volyn State University named after Lesya Ukrainka in 1995. Moreover, he was studying at the Security Service Academy at jurisprudence.

He occupied the position of first deputy head of the chief directorate of Main Department of SBU in Donetsk region.

Earlier, Zelensky fired 70 heads of district administrations in eight regions of Ukraine. Besides, Zelensky dismissed 15 heads of regional state administrations.

As it was reported earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky presented the Head of Donetsk Regional Military-Civilian Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko.
