President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Polina Lysenko as the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation. The relevant decree was published on the website of Office of the President.
"To appoint Polina Lysenko as the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation," the document reads.
Decree #137/2021 was signed on April 2.
The presentation of the Center for Countering Disinformation will take place on Tuesday, April 6.
Polina Lysenko graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2015 with a Master's Degree in law, and until 2019 she studied at this university for a research degree.
In 2013-2015 she worked as a junior lawyer in a private law firm. From April 2015 to September 2019, she was the Assistant First Deputy Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). Until March 2020, she held the position of Head of the Department of International Legal Cooperation and Asset Recovery of the Prosecutor General’s Office. She also worked as a project manager for the development of the judiciary and international cooperation of the Office of Simple Solutions and Results.
From September 2020 she was a Director of the Department of Information Policy and Public Relations of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.
