President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Oleksandr Danylyuk as the National Security and Defense (NSDC) Secretary of Ukraine as presidential website reported.

The order on the appointment of Danylyuk as the National Security and Defense Secretary of Ukraine was signed by Zelensky on May 28.

Earlier, Head of the Administration of the President Andrіy Bohdan stated that he sees Danylyuk at the post of the NSDC Secretary. He thinks that Danylyuk is a professional, who can hold a number of the necessary reforms.

On June 7, 2018, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dismissed Oleksandr Danylyuk from the post of the Finance Minister of Ukraine. 254 MPs supported this decision.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Oksana Markarova as the Acting Finance Minister. Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman assured that Danylyuk’s resign will not influence the negotiations with the international partners. Then Danylyuk decided to leave the office.
