President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky believes that there may be no alternatives to Independence Day. Besides, the Ukrainians have every right to participate in the marches they want to as Interfax-Ukraine reported.
“I guest that we have the Independence Day of Ukraine and it is the most important. And there is no alternative to this day. If people would like to walk…I do not think that it is an “alternative parade” (March of Defenders of Ukraine, - 112.international); it is really wrong. Let’s begin with rhetoric. Do we unite Ukraine? I believe that it is the most important,” Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president emphasized that if people want to hold the procession they should go.
“We are the open country. So, you are welcome,” he noted.
