First president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev offered Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet one-on-one, without the participation of the U.S., European society and other sides in Kazakhstan as NUR.KZ reported.

Nazarbayev stated that the incident between Ukraine and Russia is a sad moment. He offers Putin and Zelensky to meet one-on-one to solve the situation.

The first president of Kazakhstan added that he personally works to make this meeting to take place.

“I have already received the agreement of Zelensky for a one-on-one meeting, reported it to the president of Russia – then we will see. If the neutral platform is needed, I offered Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev stated.

He added that it is a mistake to believe that Putin does not want this meeting – “he wants the peace to come”. Meanwhile, Russia does not need Ukrainian territories.

According to Nazarbayev, Zelensky may solve Russian-Ukrainian issue – the people and parliament support him, he should express his will as the process is started – the release of people from the captivity and disengagement of forces take place.

Earlier Spokesman of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the date of the Normandy Four meeting can be discussed after the full completion of the disengagement of forces and equipment in Donbas.
