Zelensky about 112 Ukraine TV channel broadcasting license deprivation: National Council said something was overdue

The head of the Ukrainian state commented on the situation regarding 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and Zik TV channels

Answering the questions of the journalists of 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and Zik TV channels, President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the situation about deprivation of the broadcasting license for 112 Ukraine TV channel and freedom of speech in Ukraine.

"Speaking about 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and Zik TV channels... We have nothing to do with this situation. You know how I treat this situation. You know what I think about the freedom of speech: nobody's...", Zelensky said.

In response to request to comment on that the National Council of TV and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine wants to deprive the mentioned above TV channels of the broadcasting license, the President said:

"We will be talking with the National Council about this issue, they said something was overdue there. This is all I know," he added.

As we reported earlier, in Zhytomyr, northern Ukraine, the people had come to support three Ukrainian TV channels that claimed pressure by the government.

Rally members demand that President Volodymyr Zelensky stop pressure on 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and Zik TV channels.

"We demand that the government stop deciding what do we watch and what we don't watch. We want to watch fair news, we want to have our own choice of channels to watch", the protesters say.
