The State Commission on Environmental Safety, Manmade Disaster and Emergency Response at an extraordinary meeting on Saturday took Zakarpattia region out of the 'red' zone of epidemic danger. It was announced by Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleh Nemchinov on his Telegram channel.
"Based on the results, the state commission decided to cancel the 'red' level of the epidemic danger of the spread of Covid-19 in Zakarpattia region from 00:00 on April 11, 2021, and apply restrictive anti-epidemic measures on the territory of Zakarpattia region, provided for the 'yellow' level of epidemic danger," Nemchinov said.
As we reported earlier, Minister of Healthcare of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov announced the improvement of the situation with the coronavirus in Chernivtsi, Zakarpattia, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. He said about it at a briefing on Tuesday, April 6.
He noted that the situation was critical in Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions in early March.
The minister said that these regions were the first to enter the 'red' quarantine zone. If the situation with Covid-19 there completely stabilizes, the three areas will be able to leave the "red" zone and loosen quarantine restrictions.
