The state enterprise Design Office Yuzhnoye named after Yangel (Dnipro city, southeastern Ukraine) is developing an orbital spacecraft for multiple transportation to the low near-earth orbits and the return of various cargoes and cosmonauts from orbits, the company’s press service reported.
It is also noted that the design bureau develops a multi-purpose transport space module for orbital servicing of customer satellites (orbital inspection, transfer to certain orbital positions, support in given orbital positions, etc.).
Yuzhnoye added that the office continues to develop Earth remote sensing satellites for general, detailed and ultra-detailed optical observation: Sich-2-1, Sich-2M and Sat4EO, as well as scientific and technological satellites Mikrosat and CubeSat, GS-1 and Aerosol-UA.
As it was reported earlier, on February 27, during a meeting between Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States, Valeriy Chaly, and the head of the National Aeronautical Space Administration (NASA), James Bridenstine, the US side expressed interest in including Ukrainian companies in projects pertaining to lunar exploration.
