Yanukovych's state treason case: 23 witnesses, including Poroshenko to be questioned

23 witnesses of the prosecution, including Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine and Oleksandr Turchynov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council are left to be questioned by the court on the case of the state treason of Viktor Yanukovych. Ruslan Kravchenko, the prosecutor of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine claimed this after the Obolon District Court session as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.

He specified that there are three workers of the Department of State Guard of Ukraine, Andry Paruby, the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament and Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, the former Head of the SBU on the list.

As we reported earlier the Obolon District Court of Kyiv questioned four workers of the Department of State Guard of Ukraine.

The court made a decision to question the number of the witnesses of the prosecution in the end of 2017, including President Poroshenko. Arsen Avakov, the Interior Minister of Ukraine and Arseny Yatsenyuk, the former Prime Minister were questioned on December 11.

Earlier we reported that the court questioned Andry Deshchytsia, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland on January 17.
