Vitaly Serdyuk, the advocate claimed that his client Viktor Yanukovych, the former President of Ukraine intends to return to Ukraine. He claimed this at the Obolon District Court as Ukrinform reported.
'Of course, he intends to come back to Ukraine. His stay in Russia is the temporary coercive measure', Serdyuk said.
According to him, Yanukovych has the certificate on the provision of the temporary shelter in Russia 'due to the fact that the political repression takes place in Ukraine'.
Serdyuk noted that the questioning of Yanukovych does not take place because the Ukrainian side does not want to hold them. 'Any prosecutor in any case does not want to hold the questioning'.
Also, the questioning through Skype is also impossible. After the questioning of Yanukovych in Sviatoshynsky District Court there was an order to prevent the further communication through Skype. The defense of Yanukovych assures that it appealed to the court with such appeal for many times.
Earlier we reported that the defense of Viktor Yanukovych, the former president of Ukraine demands from the prosecutor's office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) to bring the particular workers of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to the justice due to their support of the opposition in February 2014.
