Yanukovych is sorry that on Maidan people died from both sides. He said this during a press conference in Rostov in Russia, broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"I think you will agree that I am the second witness who is present here, me and General Shuliak, commander of the interior troops, we were not interested as witnesses in any way to disrupt this trial. This was made by the Ukrainian side and it is obvious it had to be someone who feared crime solving on Maidan. I feel sorry for the boys who died there from protesters side, whose relatives were sitting today in court and from officers side, who were not present today on the hearing and I’m wondering: why weren’t they here? Why is this crime not being investigated? Boys were protecting order and law. There are plenty of materials today in the internet, no need to search somewhere else,” he declared.
Yanukovych himself said that he was interested for the questioning to take place today.
