Vitaly Sedyuk, the advocate of Viktor Yanukovych, the former Ukrainian president claimed that his client is endangered in Russia. He claimed this at the Obolon Court of Kyiv as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.
He claimed that he met Yanukovych some time ago and was ordered to provide his personal participation in the court hearing through the video conference.
‘I cannot tell the place of our meeting but his attitude aims at the comprehensive and objective coverage of the events that occurred at the Maidan, in Crimea and he insist on the provision of his participation. My client is endangered, even in Russia because the current government and the Prosecutor General’s Office did not any steps to investigate the case on the attempt upon the life of Yanukovych, they did not any steps to investigate the case on the ‘take-over’’, the advocate claimed.
Earlier the defense claimed for many times about so-called danger for the life of Yanukovych in Ukraine.
Former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych fled the country in February 2014, as his regime was toppled during the Revolution of Dignity. He has been hiding from justice ever since. Yanukovych is accused of state treason, assistance in waging the aggressive war against Ukraine and changing state borders of this country.
