Ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych filed to Ukraine’s Prosecutor’s Office on coup d'état. It was announced by his lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk at the briefing on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“The application was filed and defense expects its registration in accordance with the norms of the current legislation,” he said.

Serdyuk noted that the statement refers to deliberate, well-organized actions aimed at harming Ukraine, and in forcible seizure of power in the state.

“These actions led according to the statement and deep conviction of defense and Yanukovych, to negative actions in Crimea, Donbas and in general in the country. An organized group of people, among whom ... Avakov, Klitschko, Lutsenko. Pay attention to the behavior of Lutsenko, who each time was called by the defense, but did not appear at the meeting when he saw his surname among the witnesses. He made an official statement and provided a clear message that Yanukovych's video interview will not take place. Also it is about Nalyvaischenko, Paruby, Pashinsky , Turchynov, Tyahnybok, Yatsenyuk and others,” he said.

Serdyuk added that the defense will initiate the question on holding to account all perpetrators in the international bodies for the flagrant disregard for the basic principles of justice.

“The documents will be filed to international institutions very soon. The issue will be initiated and criminal proceedings will be launched concerning the compositions of court,” he said.

As it was reported earlier Yanukovych defense will file an appeal on Ukrainian court’s decision. The lawyers gathered four volumes of evidence proving that the trial in absentia is illegal, Vitaly Serdyuk says.
