Reporter files application to police against President's Press Secretary

Famous journalist Danylo Yanevsky filed the application on Yulia Mendel, the Press Secretary of Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky. He reported that on his Facebook page

Particularly, the statement is related to the incident with journalist Serhii Andrushko.

"The Press Secretary, despite the determined official duties, which were defined by the Regulations on press service of the President of Ukraine, allowed the actions having nothing common with the organization of the activities of the President and providing of his contacts with the mass media and creating good working environment for journalists. Moreover, the actions of the Press Secretary are found wrongful, according to the criminal legislation, because having used physical pressure on the journalist, the press secretary allowed the deliberate obstruction of the professional activities, which establishes the liability under article No. 171 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the statement says. 

As it was reported earlier, the Press Secretary of the President of Ukraine Yulia Mendel blocked the way and held journalist Serhii Andrushko when he tried to ask the President a question.
