World arm wrestling champion Andriy Pushkar dies in car accident in Rivne region

It is noted that one more athlete is in serious condition in hospital

A car accident happened in Rivne region, as a result of which two people died, one more is in serious condition in a hospital. The press office of the National Police in Rivne region reported.  

‘According to preliminary information, a 26-year-old famous Ukrainian athlete from Ostroh District was the driver of Citroen. He lost control over the car on a highway between Hai-Lev'yatyns'ki and Krupets villages, drew on oncoming traffic and collided with a truck driven by a 30-year-old resident of Chernihiv region,’ reads the message.

As a result of the car accident, the driver of the car was delivered to a medical facility in serious condition. Two more passengers were in the car: the father of the driver, 50-year-old resident of Ostroh District, and a 33-year-old athlete from Ternopil region. They sustained injuries incompatible with life.  

The Police didn’t voice the names of the deceased, at the same time, the agency of investigative journalism Chetverta Vlada reported on Facebook that world arm wrestling champion Andriy Pushkar died in the car accident and another athlete Oleh Zhokh is in serious condition in a hospital.
