Russia considers the possibility of participation in the Normandy Format summit after signing of Steinmeier formula by Ukrainian side, as RIA News reports, citing Spokesperson of Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
He noted that after signing, all sides would begin to work on the prospects of holding of Normandy Format summit. Peskov underlines that Steinmeier formula defines the mechanism of implementation of the law on special order of the local self-government in temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
“The signing took place only yesterday so now, of course, the interested sides and representatives will work on the prospects of such summit. We hope that something will be clear soon,” Peskov said.
As we reported, the Ukrainian side published the text of Steinmeier formula.
Earlier we reported that the far-right National Corps has begun the termless protest and urged the Ukrainians to join the campaign “against capitulation” near the Office of the President.
On October 1, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine reported on the agreement of Steinmeier formula text in response to the letter of OSCE Special Representative in Trilateral Contac Group Martin Sajdik.
