It is reported that a woman arrived from Turkey on August 1; she was vaccinated with Moderna drug on August 5 and felt the first symptoms of the disease on the first day. In four days, on August 9, a woman was hospitalized in the infectious unit and died on August 10.
The patient was hospitalized with complaints about fewer, weakness; after the hospitalization, her oxygenation was critical, at 40%. With oxygen, it was 68-70% and it is also less than the normal level, which is about 95%.
Earlier, it was reported that the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has approved the use of the Spikevax vaccine (earlier known as Moderna) for vaccination of teenagers at the age of 12 up to 17.
Besides, the EMA found a link between cases of heart inflammation (myocarditis and pericarditis) and the use of Pfizer and Moderna coronavirus vaccines.
The FDA approved the Moderna vaccine on December 19, 2020. The EMA approved this vaccine on January 6.
