Woman detained during march Immortal Regiment in Kyiv

Olena Berezhna, a mother of Iryna Berezhna, a former MP from the Party of Regions (Yanukovych’s party at his presidency) before the beginning of the action Immortal Regiment was detained in the center of Kyiv. RBK-Ukraine reported this.

The woman tried to enter the territory, where the march took place, in a T-shirt of colors of the St. George's ribbon.

The legislation of Ukraine equates it to the symbolism of totalitarian regimes. A public demonstration of such signs involves administrative liability.

After a verbal dispute and refusal to stop the offense, Berezhna was arrested by the police.

It should be noted that last year Olena Berezhna was detained during the march Immortal Regiment for the same reason.

Let us recall, Olena Berezhna is known for her anti-Ukrainian views, publications in social networks and regular appearances on Russian television. Her daughter, Irina Berezhna, died on August 5, 2017, in a car accident on the Adriatic coast.
