The Hungarian low-cost Wizz Air Company will open three new flights from Kyiv to the European countries. Stephen Jones, the executive vice president and deputy CEO claimed this as RBK-Ukraine reported.
The flights will start since July 2018. On July 1, the daily flights from Kyiv to Germany – Berlin and Frankfurt will begin.
On October 28, the Wizz Air will begin the flights to Vienna, Austria. It also will be the daily flights.
The cost of the tickets is 29, 99 euros in one direction including all taxes and mandatory levies.
Moreover, the company updated the schedule of the flights from Kyiv to Lisbon, Portugal and Tallinn, Estonia. Both flights will start on June 21. They will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Last autumn Wizz Air increased the number of the flights from Ukraine to Poland.
On March 23, the largest airport in Ukraine, the state-owned Boryspil and the Danylo Halytskyi “Lviv” airport signed agreements to operate Ryanair flights.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Ryanair would launch 15 flights from Ukraine to cities across Europe in October 2018, with tickets as cheap as €10 and an average airfare as low as €40. According to the Chief Executive Officer of Ryanair Michael O’Leary, the corporation is in the middle of negotiating the introduction of flights from four airports in Ukraine, apart from Boryspil and Lviv.
